Bought this after researching mamny brands. It's a nice stove. The oven heats evenly which is a huge plus. It's a large oven. Has 5 burners. I can use a griddle on the middle Bieber which makes great pancakes. Well worth the money.

Poor quality, extended warranty next to useless

We bought a Maytag oven range model #MGR6600FZ 2 years ago. The oven exterior door panel is separating from the door unit. I noticed this right after using the self-clean feature. We purchased the expensive extended warranty and placed a claim with SafeWare when after we were told that they do not cover "cosmetic" issues. SAY WHAT? The door panel separates due to the excessive heat from the self-clean feature because they do not insulate the oven properly. Don't build in a self-clean feature if the construction can't handle it. I notice we are not the only customer that has an issue with this from the reviews. Maytag is aware of this defect, but not standing behind their product. It is a DEFECT, NOT A COMETIC ISSUE. We had a Kitchenaid self-clean oven previously and had NO issue like this.

Carbon monoxide monster

I bought product a month ago it has been filling my home carbon monoxide since I purchased. The gas company shut off gas and informed me not to use the stove. I informed Maytag and they don't consider it and emergency that my brand stove is carbon a monoxide spilling monster. I also learned that it is a known issue.they gave my a date one month away just to look at the stove it should be replaced. Don't buy this product.

We bought this because of past good experience with Maytag quality. We are disappointed with several things. The finish on the burner grates started wearing off the first day of use, exposing bare cast iron. The black painted tray area below the burners shows every speck of spillage, in spite of constant cleaning. Perhaps that should have been stainless steel. Our last white range was better in that area. The racks in the oven bend when a Dutch oven is placed on them. We've not experienced this before.

I purchased this appliance in May 2019. Within two months, the paint on one of the burner covers bubbled and peeled. I am an older woman and have used this burner 3 or 4 times. I called customer service for a replacement cover and was told that it was a cosmetic issue and therefore not covered. I disagree, I feel that the paint or painting process is defective. I bought this range two months ago. It's has a great cooktop with a fifth burner perfect for griddle action. The only issue with the cook top is that the burners are all so close together it's impossible to have them all in use at the same time if your pots or pans are over 9" wide. If the four outer burner had been spaced just an inch or two further apart it would be much more functional, especially when I'm cooking large family dinners with many courses. The oven works great, but I would pay extra for convection on my next purchase.

Switched to gas!

Excited to get a new range

Terrible stove. Terrible customer service.

I bought this stove when doing a complete kitchen remodel. After installation we noticed that the door was crooked, contacted Maytag, on hold over 45 minutes. Sent replacement parts, arrived broken. Sent again. Installed and then told entire oven is crooked and must be replaced. I had to fight to get them to pay to replace. Sent second stove. Installed and when installer went to put knobs on realized all gas stems were crooked and did not turn! Company did not want to replace, finally agreed to replace and third stove installed. Customer service never any help, rude and condescending. Always long waits on hold. All this was a four month process. Do NOT purchase a Maytag!!!!!!

This range is simple, easy to "operate" controls and the oven is true to temperature. My previous Kenmore range had many more never used controls including convection which I personally found to be useless. I like the simplicity of this range, does everything I need it to do at a reasonable price. My ONLY small complaint would be the timer that only rings once and not always loud enough for me to hear.

Purchased from Home Depot in September 2018. The gas knobs made grinding noise and very difficult to turn for arthritic hands. Maytag came out to fix it, ordered parts. Parts not available. Waited 3 months for them to figure this out. Stove replaced in January 2019. Same exact issue and the stove panel unglued itself from main unit. Tech came out additional 3 times to fix these issues. We are now in May 2019- stove began to rust by the burners. Always cleaned with non abrasive stove cleaner. The oven door is installed with a gap on one side- appears same on all the stoves of this model. This is a 5 month old stove that has been fixed repeatedly. This is no longer a "new" stove that I paid $700 for plus delivery and installation. What a deal! Absolutely horrible craftsmanship, quality and service. Never purchasing this brand again, will buy different brand and pay extra for quality and service. Techs are absolutely unprofessional, never on time and one time simply did not show up. If you look up the reviews for the company's Maytag works with expect to see 1 start ratings. Argued with Maytag numerous times, they won't take back this piece of junk. Oh...and their "warranty" doesn't cover any cosmetic damages.

Purchased this item about a month ago and we are very pleased with its performance. We previously had a LG range and to say the least it did not hold up. My wife loves the way the oven bakes I love the top grilles. They clean nicely and don't slide around. Top burners cook very evenly. The only thing so far we are disappointed in is the oven light is not bright enough and we haven't figured out the timer yet.
